Responsibilities
Project:
Ø Oversees technical aspects of the day-to-day operation of the business activities of the OU
Ø Responsible for the assigned geographic area’s technical monitoring of resources to include technical report reviews and implementation of actions to improve the quality of technical services being provided.
Ø Support the Local and Global team in the execution of technical reviews of enquiries or contracts, before submission of an offer, tender or quotation.
Ø Promote a technical culture and awareness throughout the organization
Ø Assist field personnel in the execution of their assigned responsibilities
Ø Ensure that all data entry into RINA systems is performed in accordance with the agreed systems and procedures
Ø Ensure that all assigned activities are executed in accordance with the RINA Quality Management System
Ø Comply with HSE Policies, Procedures and Guidelines
Ø Ensure that all assigned activities are executed in accordance with the RINA QMS
Ø Be aware of the quality of his own work and its impact on service delivery and contribute to the QMS improvement according to his/her role.
Ø Support and participate in the organization's environmental and safety program to conform to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements
Customer:
Ø Ensure services are supplied to requirements
Ø Review all field reports prior to submittal to the client
Ø Arrange and attend to meetings (both kick-off and periodical) with customers
Ø Collect customers’ satisfaction and letter of reference at the end of the project
Ø Support the OU Manager to ensure that all complaints are addressed in compliance with the complaints process documented in Customer Feedback and Complaints.
Ø Represent RINA as required at client’s meetings, conferences, etc
Business Development:
Ø Support technical development, innovation and delivery of strategic company initiatives in unison with OU Manager(s).
Ø Provide technical input into the development of Procedures and Instructions specifically related to the field activities
Personal:
Ø Bachelor/Masters in Naval Architecture and/or Marine Engineering or equivalent, relevant to the job description
Experience:
Ø Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in the maritime industry with a strong background in Risk Assessment and conducting HAZID/HAZOP workshops on site. (essential)
Ø Classification society, shipyard, or marine/ship design/construction service provider or consultancy (essential)
Ø Marine rules and regulations; IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL, Class (essential)
Ø Gap Analysis (desired)
Ø New building/retrofit/repair experience, project management, ship design, AutoCad, CFD calculation (desired)
Ø IMO 2050 decarbonization targets, Bio-Fuels, Ammonia, Methanol, Hydrogen, LNG (desired)
Ø Energy Storage Systems (Batteries) and Hybrid Drive Solutions (desired)
