New Building Marine Surveyor/新造验船师

Principal Tasks 

• Ensure strict adherence to classification society rules, international regulations, and statutory requirements during surveys and inspections. 

• Performs routine surveys on classed vessels at manufacturers for classification and compliance with statutory requirements. 

• Prepares technically accurate and timely reports of inspections and surveys performed. 

• Engages in contact with clients to resolve problems within area of expertise. 

• Maintains survey files in an orderly and up-to-date manner in area of responsibility. 

Education and Professional Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering.  

• Previous professional experiences in Classification Societies and/or Chief Engineer Working Experience would be a strong plus.  

• At least 3-5 years significant professional experience in class societies or related businesses is requested., e.g., quality control of components/materials production, marine engineering as class Surveyor or as owner superintendent, etc. 

• English skill is necessary.   

Personal Skills and Abilities 

• Willing to travel frequently.  

• Practical and theoretical knowledge of hull, machinery, materials, equipment, and safety systems of ships.  

• Fluent in English language, both written and spoken.  

• IT literate in MS Office.  

• Ability to work in a team and on tight schedules.  

• Ability to manage conflicts and to negotiate.
