Senior Piping Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Manage piping engineeringand man-hours, ensuring quality, budget and schedule are met

• Conceptual routing studies,engineering execution planning

• Ensure technical adequacy ofengineering and design consistent with good engineering practice, safetyin design, specific requirement of the project, and compliance with codesand standards

• Interface with clients andensure coordination between piping and other discipline

• Facilitate piping disciplineengineering meetings

• Prepare, review pipingtechnical deliverables

• Review and comment on 3Dmodel, procedures, material classes, vendor data and study reports(especially pipe stress analysis)

• Provide construction assistance

• Prepare, review pipingpractice (or standard) regarding piping support design, piping layout, pipinginstallation

• Manage interface issuesbetween topside and hull side of floater project (FPSO, FLNG, FPU, FSRU)or onshore modularized project

• Plant Layout, Piping Designand Piping Engineering experience within an EPC/EPCm environment

• Coordinate and directdrafters, check drawings and other documents

• Ensure Pipe Stress scope anddeliverables are completed on time and on budget, whilst meeting the requiredlevel of technical safety and quality

• Perform pipe stress analysesand provide input to the piping layout and design of supports

• Prepare general notesrequisitions or purchasing requirements for piping

• Review flowsheets forcorrectness of depicting piping and material

• Generate piping bulkrequisitions from MTO

• Generate special piping itemrequisitions

• Prepare technical bidanalysis for piping bulks as well as special piping items

Requirements:

• Degree in MechanicalEngineering with experience

• Minimum 12 years experiencein offshore piping design, preferable in Topsides FPSO/FLNG experience

• A working knowledge based onprevious experience, of codes, standards and accepted working practiceswith respect to Engineering in the international Oil & Gas industries

• Knowledge of piping material

• Knowledge of piping stressanalysis

• Experience as a Piping DesignEngineer in the Oil & Gas industries

• Good communicator at alllevels with commercial and risk awareness

• Leadership capability

• Good interpersonal and teambuilding skills

• Decision making abilitybased on sound supportable logic and knowledge

• Ability to recognisepotential innovations and cost benefits

• Ability to work on owninitiative with minimum supervision
