Main responsibilities and tasks
Execution of start - up and commissioning or supervising this process if performed by WSS or subcontractors including co-operation with WSS or subcontractors
Timely execution of start-up & commissioning work dispatched by commissioning supervisor and according to the contract obligation and appropriate flag/class requirements
Execution of daily activities on installation and commissioning for safety system
Handle both new building and retrofit projects from China, Singapore, Japan, Korea, Viet Nam, USA and Europe which installed in China and Viet Nam
Record commissioning projects once every week.
Coordinate with customer on installation preparation of system.
Ensure quality commissioning and systems to deliver to owners and yards
Revert to doubts on installation from other commissioning engineers, superintendents and yard’s engineers
Training new engineers and subcontractor both in theory and practical and share system’s knowledge to fellow engineers
Conduct system operation training to yard engineers for our safety systems.
Conduct lectures for crew on board and superintendents to familiarize with our system installed in theory and site orientation
Attend technical meeting with owner, class and yard on installation and other technical issues
Liaise with sales team, engineering team and product group
Make decision in time when site needed
Able to work under stress
Other assignments may be delegated
Qualifications
Mandatory requirements
A formal technical education including a technical degree, preferably at University level
Minimum 1 years experience as service engineer, preferably in marine industry
Good common of spoken and written English
IT literacy
Ability to work on own initiative and interact well with others
Customer oriented
Additional preferences
Do the final inspection when it is available during the commissioning of the next vessel.
Knowledge of other languages will be a benefit
Ability to keep good, friendly relationship with other people.
Ability to work in a systematic and structured way, also in stressful conditions

Local Application Fire Fighting system
Dry Chemical Powder system
Fire Detection system (several from CHP, more from Singapore and Europe installed in China)
Deep fat cooking fire fighting.
Loose fire fighting.
