Senior Riser Engineer
Mission:
Performs riser analysis for the hook-up of the risers to the floating offshore structures, performs pipe/cable laying analysis for the installation of pipe/cable to sea floor. Field support of various Dockwise onshore and offshore project executions. Provides up to date engineering advice and support to Riser Installation Business.
Responsibilities:
Impact on Business:
-Pipelay or cable lay analysis to deploy the pipe/cable to sea floor.
-Riser engineering and analysis to hook up the risers/flowlines to the floating platform.
-Technical interface for the hook up equipment stowage plan.
-Answers enquiries through collection, analysis and use of all necessary information needed for a successful acquisitions process.
-Assists in the preparation of a transport, perform studies for the preparation of installation campaign.
-Field support of onshore and offshore operations.
Internal & External Customers/Suppliers as well as Third Parties:
-Provides engineering advice and support to other disciplines, using industry standard and in-house developed riser analysis software.
-Offers (un)requested advice to ensure a safe and successful project execution.
-Does research, shares this knowledge with colleagues and develops, prepares and maintains engineering tools for future use.
-Gives support to contribute to the development, implementation and maintenance of the business processes within the section.
Innovation and Change:
-Analyzes processes and working methods and initiates improvements.
-Assists in the development and improvement of Riser Engineering working methods and tools.
-Assists in the improvement of engineering procedure of riser engineering analyses.
People Leadership:
-Guide and develop riser engineers (junior/medior).
Requirements:
Educational Background:
-Bachelor or above degree in ocean engineering, naval architecture, mechanical, or civil engineering. MS or above degree is highly recommended.
Professional Knowledge:
-5 or above years of experience in design and analysis of pipe/cable laying or riser installation, such as SCR, pipeline, and cables.
-Proficient in riser design or pipelaying analysis software such as Orcaflex, FLEXCOM.
-Familiar with industry codes and standards ( e.g. API RP 2RD and DNV OS F201).
-Familiar with riser interface with surface floaters and pipeline/subsea equipment.
-Field experience in pipelaying or riser installation is preferred.
